How does it work if pizza delivery drivers provide their own change?
Today was my second weekend working as a delivery driver for Domino’s. I asked my boss for “bank” which is just 20 dollars to give customers change, and he said they don’t give out change usually. He said I need to bring my own change for my shift. Is this correct? Do they reimburse me for the change? Won’t I lose money?
I always brought plenty of quarters, dimes, and nickles. Before your shift, count out your twenty dollars. You get several pizzas and delivery tickets from the dispatcher. You deliver, and get the money and tips from the customer. You come back, pay up for the delivery, and put your tickets, and exact amount in your locked box, or to dispatcher. What ever is left over, is yours. And of course the change, I didn’t care, I just kept my own change in a couple of baggies. No big deal.
