How to clean a pizza stone?

Does anyone know how to clean a pizza stone. the instructions said that the water, but put a metal pot at the top of the stone and learn to make pizza, it tastes like metal! Should I throw it away or is there a possibility that can be saved?

Prepare deep cleaning a paste of baking soda mixed with 1 / 2 cup of baking soda with 3 tablespoons water. Apply the paste of baking soda into new areas and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Scrape the dough over the Nylon Pan Scraper. Rinse and dry thoroughly before storing.
